Song Ji hyo as a Witch – After successfully starring in the Korean drama Was It Love last year, Song Ji-Hyo will return to the small screen with Nam Ji-Hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop. The three actors will star in So Jae-Hyun’s drama titled The Witch’s Diner or Come to the Witch’s Restaurant.
This Korean drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Goo Sang-hee which won the Daesang (grand prize) in the story contest of the Kyobo Book Center. The story in this novel is praised for touching realistic topics that anyone can relate to.
Come to the Witch Restaurant is a dark fantasy genre drama about a witch restaurant that sells food that can grant customers’ wishes, in exchange for human souls.
In this drama, Song Ji-Hyo plays a restaurant owner and magician named Zo Hee-ra who makes mysterious “soul food”. Meanwhile, Nam Ji-Hyun plays Jung Jin who is an employee of Hee-ra’s restaurant to pay for a promise with the witch.
Between the two women, you also don’t miss being entertained by the action of actor Chae Jong-hyssop who plays Gil Yong, a part-time worker with a pure soul. Although Chae Jong-hyeop is a newcomer to Korean entertainment, his collaboration with two experienced actresses, Song Ji-Hyo and Nam Ji-Hyun, is expected to bring new and captivating chemistry to the small screen. Jong-hyeop previously had a supporting role in the drama Sisyphus: The Myth (2021).
Recently, the production team for the drama Come to the Witch Restaurant released the first images of the three main characters (3/6). Among them, the charming wizard Zo Hee-ra, the charming Jung Jin, and Gil Yong whose actor soul is still very fresh. In addition, there is also a snippet of the name and entrance to Zo Hee-ra’s restaurant called The Witch’s. Yep, looks spooky and mysterious.
Curious, right, how these three characters who look different in every way will run a restaurant together? The premiere of the drama Come to the Witch Restaurant will be released in July.
